Cheers for 30 Years of CDA!

Our Cheer Dynamics All Stars (CDA) cheerleaders are different. Based out of Hoboken, these young athletes (aged between 4 and 18) practice year round and compete in competitions both locally and across the country.

CDA is a registered 501(C)3 nonprofit and educational organization that promotes the importance of physical and mental growth, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership, as well as the importance of community. Our goal is to instill strong and valuable skills that can be used throughout their future.

As an organization, CDA focuses on making the sport fun and exciting, but an important milestone in life. CDA believes all team members are part of a whole. This organization works together not only to make the individual better, but to make the team better.

CDA season runs year round, including camps, practices, choreography, and competitions. From January until May, the teams compete in a variety of competitions, both locally-like Trenton, and nationally-like Nashville. All of our cheerleaders on the team compete in all registered competitions. These competitions are nothing short of a foot in the door to a new world for these cheerleaders. Many who would not be accustomed to performing in front of large crowds, experiencing the thrill of executing their skills in a sports arena, or even traveling outside of their surroundings to experience different regions and people. These small things will and have always had a big impact on these athletes' lives. They form memories, make friendships, and learn valuable lessons.

CDA has been a staple in the Hoboken Recreation Program for 30 years. Founded in 1992 by Michele Russo, Rosemarie Lorenzo, David Gonzalez and Annette Collins, and once named the Hoboken Rec Devils, they have won many championships and national titles and brought them home to our great Mile Square City.

The program has always thrived with the help of our volunteer coaches, athletes and their families, and the strong ties to our beloved community.
