Cheering for Cheer Dynamics is a huge commitment but worth every tough practice, every drop of sweat, and every nervous butterfly in your belly. Our coaches volunteer their personal time and help us get better at each practice and to perfect every single performance. They push us to succeed, build our confidence, and wipe our tears away because they truly believe in us.

We respect, trust, and appreciate every single one of them. Thank you for inspiring us to strive to be the best. Thank you for your passion and dedication to Cheer Dynamics All Stars.

Our Coaches

  • David Gonzalez

When Coach David received a call in 1992 from Michele Russo and Annette Collins to start a Hoboken Recreation Cheerleading team, he immediately said yes. He would start off coaching the Biddy team.

Coach David was coaching dance and choreography at North Bergen High School, Holy Rosary grammar school and PS 9 in Jersey City during this time, but then decided to stay with the Rec Devils in 1996. Shortly after, they decided to move out of the Rec division into the All Star division and he coached the Biddy and Junior Dance teams and the Senior All Star team.

Coach David has continued to volunteer his time to coach the Cheer Dynamics All Star teams over the past 30 years and has led the teams to many national championships all over the country.

He says that his favorite part of being an All Star coach is when he sees his team perform and give 100% out on the mat.

  • Lisette Serrano

Coach Lisette started cheering at the age of 11, she quickly realized that she wanted to be in competitive cheering at age 13. She made the St. Augustine Rams CYO competition team. She remained cheering with them till she graduated high school, winning many first place and national competitions.

After graduating , she took a few years off to take on the role of motherhood, and in 2005 she started coaching all-star cheer for the Rams All-stars, here she remained for the next 3 years. In 2008, she took another break to take care of her mother and 4 children.

In 2019 her youngest daughter showed the same passion for competitive cheer which is when she found Cheer Dynamic All Stars. She supported her child’s love for the sport in which she felt the spark of coaching ignite once again. So in 2021, coach David asked if she would help in coaching for the 2021-22 season where CDA won many national competitions. Going into her second year with CDA, she now coaches: the Tiny Sparkles, Mini Diamonds and Junior Jemz in hopes to achieve national recognition in the cheer world. Her many hours of dedication is worth the time put into shaping these young athletes body and souls.

  • Katie England Peluso

Coach Katie was only 5 years old when she first started competitive cheerleading. She joined what was then the Hoboken Rec Devils and continued competing until she left for college. She was part of the Cheer Dynamics All Star team and also had the honor of being one of the teams’s captains. She loved to perform, fly, base, and just keep everyone’s spirits up! She started coaching in high school and knew she loved it. The bonds she formed with all of her cheerleaders and their families were forever.

After graduating college, she came back to the CDA family to join Coach David, Coach Roe & Coach Nancy. After two years of coaching she took a break, but soon after, her 4 year old twins joined the CDA Tinys under Coach Victoria (who was once one of her own cheerleader). Fast forward to today. Now all three of her daughters cheer for the program and absolutely love it. Coach Katie found herself starting to involved more as a parent and a coach (even though she swore she wouldn’t come back!). She now coaches alongside Coach David and Coach Lisette, helping with the both the Mini Diamonds and the Junior Jemz. She loves to be a part of shaping these young athletes’ lives and seeing the passion when they perform. The hours and days that go into this sport may be long, but that two minutes and 30 second performance is well worth it.

  • Roe Lorenzo

Coach Roe is one of the original founders of CDA. She was a musical comedy singer and dancer and when her daughters became very interested in cheering, something she was not familiar with, she decided to coach the Calabro School Dance Team in the late 1980s. It seemed a good fit for her at the time and she began to really enjoy the competitive cheer/dance world.

When CDA was born in 1992, then Hoboken Recreation Cheerleading, Coach Roe started coaching and hasn’t looked back since. She’s been a beloved and integral part of the program for the past 30 years.

She says, “having 3 daughters who all became part of the organization, both cheering and coaching, has been a wonderful experience for the last 30 years.”

  • Annette Amaro

Coach Annette has been cheering from the age of 6 years old. From competitive Cheerleading, to Basketball and Football sideline cheering, up until the age of 18 years old. During that time her team not only won several competitions/ Nationals, she herself always had that outstanding look for the judges to choose her as Miss Yell. This led her to competing individually as well as at local and National cheerleading competitions.

Annette began coaching in High School at the age of 14 years old. She started coaching Calabro Biddies, which led her to Hoboken Rec Devils, soon after Hoboken Cheer Dynamics.

She had the pleasure to also coach her two daughters, who also were competitive cheerleaders for Hoboken Rec / Cheer Dynamics and several other Elite teams from 3 years old to 18 years old. They also became Cheerleading Coaches after they graduated High School.

In 2009 she decided to take a time out from coaching and returned the following year for football cheer which is probably her favorite to coach. She then returned back to coaching competitive cheerleading in Lyndhurst where she resides, to East Coast Premier All Stars, to Rams All Stars, and now back to coaching the mini level Cheer Dynamics..

Her heart is with the younger age group. She loves the challenge of coaching basics to admiring the outstanding cheerleaders they become as young teenagers. She feels she had an impact on hundreds of young competitive and sideline cheerleaders throughout her 37 years of coaching cheerleaders.
